The second Essex university attached to a scheme lodge is Anglia Ruskin University. In 2016, Boswells Lodge No. 7759, that meets at Chelmsford, became the 70th lodge to gain university status, with a special emphasis on the Chelmsford campus. The lodge currently has 43 members and dine on three meetings: September Installation meeting, January Burns Night and April Bard’s Night.

The Essex Cornerstone Club has partnered with Boswells lodge to encourage the growth and development in young Essex Masonry. The club will arrange formal visits over the year, but Boswells lodge will welcome visitors all year round. Meetings are held in the evenings on the fourth Saturday in September, October, November, January, February, March & April.
